Capturing Unforgettable Moments: A Guide to Photographing Toddlers

Hello new parents, uncles, aunties and grandparents!

I’ve been getting a lot of requests to shoot baby pictures recently, so I did.

I thought I’d write an article on what you can expect when hiring me to photograph your little ones.

Photographing toddlers is akin to embarking on a whimsical adventure filled with laughter, mischief, and endless possibilities as well as challenges.

Baby’s OTOT

Therefore, it is important to know that we will always shoot at the little one’s pace. That means if they need a nap, they get to nap. If they need a snack, best believe they get that snack. Baby bribery? Absolutely allowed. After all, happy babies make for the best photos.

Shooting in a Safe and Fun environment

It's crucial to be in an environment where your little one feels safe to be themselves and, most importantly, have fun! Like I always say for any kind of photography that I’m engaged in, “If it ain't fun, we ain't shooting.” So whether it's a cozy spot at home or a sunny park, let's make sure it's a place where smiles come naturally.

CHOAS

Let's face it, toddlers are like little tornadoes of energy and curiosity. And you know what? That's perfectly fine! Embrace the chaos, embrace the mess, because those candid moments are often the ones you'll treasure the most.

Let them be themselves.

When it comes to capturing authentic moments, nothing beats letting your little one run wild and do what they want to do. Trust me to be ready to capture those moments from their point of view. Whether it's climbing in a park or splashing in pools, I'll be right there, camera in hand.

Not just a Photoshoot, its Family time.

Last but not least, let's remember that this isn't just a photoshoot—it's family time. So leave the stress behind, forget about the perfect poses, and just be in the moment with your little one. After all, those candid, unscripted moments are what make your family truly special.

I’ll leave you with a link to my Instagram where you can find more pictures that I’ve shot, and as for my rates, its $500 for the entire day!

Yes, you saw that right, my rates are $500 flat for a full day of photoshoot, for as long as it takes to get the shots when the little ones are ready so no one feels stressed and pressed for time. All good images will be edited and sent to you via Dropbox.
